What We Perceive We Believe

We behave in the way we perceive ourselves. If we think we are unworthy we act unworthy. If we think we are loving, we act in a loving way. When there is a disparity in the way we think we feel and the way we act, our perception of self is off. A good way to develop perception skills is to create a narrative in situations that doesn’t make us a victim. ‘I lost my job’ could be ‘I lost a job’ or it could be ‘I have an opportunity to get a new job’ With less judgement of self comes less pain. Although actions and occurances cannot be changed, our perception always can. If we cannot change a situation, we can change the way we see it, how we think about it and therefore how we perceive it. That is what a miracle is. What we perceive we believe.
