We Can Admire Someone’s Attributes Without Questioning Our Own

Admiring attributes, qualities and skills in others can help us identify our own potential. When admiration turns to comparison we start to question our own attributes, qualities and skills. Just because we think someone else is very beautiful does not mean we are not. Just because we think someone is very kind or generous does not mean we are not. Just because we think someone is very hardworking doesn’t mean we are not. We all have different attributes, qualities and skills. Being different doesn’t mean we are less than or not enough it just means we are different. The body shape you admire maybe questioned by the person with that body. The quality you admire in someone may be questioned by the person with the quality. The skill you admire in someone may be questioned by the person with the skill. When admiring others leads to questioning ourselves, it’s no longer admiration it becomes comparison. Admiration is helpful and healthy, comparison is not. We can admire someone’s attributes without questioning our own.
