The Body Benefits From Movement & The Mind Benefits From Stillness

It’s an interesting contrast in what benefits our mental and physical health. Our bodies are made to move but also need rest. Bodies benefit from movement and from exercise although our modern world has created many ways we don’t need to, so it has to become a conscious choice to move more. Our minds are also made to be exercised, but also need to rest. Minds benefit from rest and stillness although our modern world has created many ways our minds can’t be still, so it has to become a conscious to be mentally still more. The daily habit and practice of movement and exercise for our bodies is as important as the daily habit and practice of stillness for our minds. The physical fuel we consume is as important as the mental fuel we consume. Limiting unhealthy food choices is as important as limiting our exposure to unhealthy mental foods like negativity, media and other stresses and triggers. How frequently and consistently do you move your body? And how frequently and consistently do you quieten and still your mind?
