We can think of progress and success as a straight line. The start is point A and the end is point B. It is rarely that straightforward, we move forward, we move back. Sometimes we’re up, sometimes we’re down, sometimes we’re diagonal or in a loop. Sometimes what we can’t get over, we have to go under or we have to go around, the long way. Sometimes we just have to go through it. We cannot go forwards if we don’t accept that sometimes we have to go backwards as part of the exact same journey. It helps when we learn to accept the times we fail as essential parts of the times we succeed. When we learn, we progress. When we practice, we progress. Just keep going, it takes time. Progress and success are not linear.
