In our instant microwave lives where we want everything (and can get almost anything) immediately we have forgotten the art of practise. For every habit we want to build, for every skill we want to develop, for every problem we need to solve, we have to take the time to practise.

Practice is failing over and over until we succeed. It is falling over and over until we can stay up. It’s constantly telling they voice in your mind that it is wrong and you can do it, until you hear the voice that says you can do it.

You don’t learn how to ride a bike instantly, you don’t learn how to play the guitar instantly, you don’t learn a new language instantly. The same goes with lifestyle changes, or developing any new habit or any new skill. It takes time, it takes effort, it takes practice.
