It Can’t Work If You Haven’t Done the Work

Nothing works if we haven’t done the work. We cannot be disappointed by the results we didn’t get from the work we didn’t do. Any relationship, any dream, any goal, any achievement needs work. It needs preparation work, active work, maintenance or ongoing work. The core work is what we need do on ourselves, it is a priority. The core work is understanding and exploring who we are. When we know who we are it is then accepting ourselves completely. After the exploration and the acceptance it is then the work on the wounds we need to heal. It’s developing the skills and fitness we need for our future. It’s then loving and caring about ourselves and our needs first. It’s becoming authentic, it’s having intention. It’s not a quick thing. It’s a journey. It’s a process that is different for everyone. It requires attention, effort, consistency, honesty, belief and patience. When we know better, we do better. The more we learn, the more we grow. Whatever it is we want to succeed in, the core work needs to come first. It can’t work if you haven’t done the work.
