We have experienced growth in life when we start to make decisions and take actions based on what is right, not what is easy. When we do this, our internal integrity grows. This integrity helps build our confidence, our esteem and our self-worth. Being honest with yourself and others isn’t always an easy principle to practice, but it is a good way to help us practise doing the right thing instead of opting for the easy option. The reassuring thing to remind ourselves is the more we do this, the easier it becomes. Having these boundaries, being impeccable with our word, living with integrity gets easier the more we do it. We feel better about our decision and ourselves, we have less to worry about, less to be anxious about. Our self-trust is reinforced. Do what is right, not what is easy.
