Confidence Comes Not From Always Being Right, But From Not Fearing Being Wrong

Does it matter if we are wrong? No one is right all of the time, why would we pretend that we are? When we lack enough confidence in ourselves we have a fear of being wrong. We are worried that people will think we are ‘less than’. Less knowledgeable, less competent, less admirable. Painting ourselves as a picture of perfection will only lead to personal disappointment and a lack of being authentically us. If we make a bad call, if we get it wrong it shows we are human, we are the same. Truly confident people are not fearful of being wrong, they know its part of our experience. Truly confident people don’t need to be right all of the time. Truly confident people admit and share their mistakes as much as they share their successes. Success doesn’t come without failure. Progress doesn’t happen without making some mistakes along the way. Want to build your confidence? Stop fearing being wrong. It happens to all of us, we don’t always and can’t always be right. Confidence comes not from always being right, but from not fearing being wrong.
